We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer to join a long-term project focused on building and evolving a modern data warehouse and analytics ecosystem for a fast-growing e-commerce business operating across multiple European markets.
Data plays a central role in the business — powering pricing, forecasting, customer insights, and operational decision-making. This role focuses on data modelling, warehouse architecture, analytics, and data governance, transforming large-scale operational and commercial data into actionable business insights.
This is an Individual Contributor role with high autonomy and ownership of the data warehouse layer.
This is not a Data Scientist role and not a BI-only role. The position requires deep SQL expertise, strong data modelling skills, and ownership of the data warehouse architecture.
Strong SQL depth is the primary screening signal for this role.
You will work closely with business stakeholders and data science teams to enable smarter decision-making and build scalable data foundations across multiple markets.
Benefits:
- High-impact role with direct influence on business decisions across multiple markets
- Ownership of the data layer and analytics foundation
- Work with large-scale, real-world commercial datasets
- Opportunity to collaborate closely with business stakeholders and data teams
- Flexible, remote-first environment with strong autonomy

About project:
The work centers on SQL, warehouse architecture, data modelling, analytics layers, and data governance. The goal is to turn large-scale operational and commercial data into trusted, actionable insights for business teams across multiple European markets.
This role fits someone who works well independently, thinks in business terms, and likes solving data problems end to end. A strong e-commerce background is a plus, along with experience supporting data science, forecasting, pricing analytics, customer behavior analysis, and BI reporting.
